Bar System

The bar bag is great for sleep systems (or climbing ropes!), and the pouch carries most of the little odds and ends, plus snacks.
$75 with pouch (no stuff sack!)

Little foam blocks help space the system out from the handlebars. 

The strapping system has been designed and tested to provide a very stable ride with all sizes of loads. Check out the bar bag photo album for pictures on how to get the most stability out of your bar bag.

The bar bag can be used with or without the included pouch.  The pouch straps can also be used to carry the pouch while away from the bike (but they're not long enough to use as a shoulder strap since that long of a strap would be cumbersome).

The bar bag even holds climbing ropes quite well.... when the Feds shut down the national parks and you have to bike 4 miles to the start of the approach gully.
